Turbine and generator rotors inspection with British partner RWE nPower
Several inspections were carried out on turbine rotors with our British partner since July 2004.
All inspections are done with basic NDE methods (VT, MT or PT, ET, UT) as well as with high-tech systems (UT-PA, ET-A), scanners and computerized registration.
Each inspection can be done on the rotor placed in-situ (own bearings) or in the workshop (on supports with rollers).
We are offering inspection on:
- bladed discs of turbine rotors specially within blade roots - T-slots and upstands as well as fir tree circumferential blade fixing
(MT with special coils, UT, UT-PA),

- roots of blades fixed on the turbine rotor (T-shape and fir tree) with methods and techniques as above,

- rotor bore surface and shaft material adjacent to it with a unique scanner
(UT, ET-A and VT if necessary),
- generator rotor end rings internal surface without removing the rotor from the stator
(specialised, thin scanner, UT & ET-A techniques).
